What we do

The call we get most. A blocked, overflowing or gurgling drain cleared quickly with the right tool for the pipe: electro-mechanical machines for the small stuff, van-mounted high-pressure jetting for the main line. We clean up after ourselves, every time.
Regular jetting is the cheapest drain work there is, because it stops the expensive kind. Our jetting units run at pressures matched to the pipe, from 100 mm house drains to commercial mains, cutting through grease, silt, limescale, wipes and roots.
Pushrod and mainline cameras go down the drain and show the problem on screen: cracks, displaced joints, roots, collapses, lost connections. You get a written report with footage, to MSCC5 standard through WinCan, that engineers, insurers and solicitors accept.
A resin-impregnated liner is pulled or inverted into the damaged pipe and cured in place, leaving a new pipe inside the old one. No trenches through your driveway, patio or floor. We are certified Pipe Doctor installers.
Septic tank emptying for homes off the mains, and grease trap waste removal for kitchens, restaurants and hotels. Waste is removed and disposed of properly, and we can set a recurring schedule so it is never left too late.
Rats use the sewer as a road network and get into buildings through broken pipes and open connections. We survey to find the entry point, repair it, and fit a Ratflap, the Irish-made one-way valve, at the outlet so nothing comes back up the line. Where there is an infestation, we work alongside pest control specialists.

Where drains go wrong
Most drain problems happen in the same handful of spots between your kitchen and the public sewer. Hover a numbered point on the drawing, or one of the cards below it.
Leaves, silt and fat settle in the trap and the sink slows down first. Cleared by hand or with the jetter, and the trap checked for damage. Drain unblocking
Fat goes down hot and sets in the pipe. It narrows year on year until nothing passes. High-pressure jetting strips it back to the pipe wall. High-pressure jetting
Old clay pipes are laid in short lengths. A joint opens, roots find the water, and every few weeks they catch the next blockage. Surveyed on camera, then relined without digging. No-dig relining
Wipes, sanitary products and debris collect at the benching. Also the first place we look, because it tells us which direction the problem is in. Drain unblocking
Where your drain meets the public sewer is where rats come up. A Ratflap fitted here lets waste out and nothing back in. Rat flaps
Traffic and ground movement crack the pipe. Water leaks out, the ground washes away and the surface sinks. Fixed with a cured-in-place liner through the chamber. No-dig relining

DrainCo changed hands in September 2026. Shane Ward and Darren Belton are owner operators: they answer the phone, they drive the van, and they do the job.
Between them they bring more than forty years in drainage and environmental services, and they have kept everything customers liked about DrainCo: the 24/7 call-outs, the fully equipped jetting and CCTV units, and a straight answer about what is wrong and what it costs. What has changed is the reach. The business is now based in Longford and works across Dublin, the Midlands, nationwide and Northern Ireland.

Rarely. Most blockages are cleared through existing chambers, and most structural damage is repaired from inside the pipe with a no-dig liner. If digging is genuinely the only answer we will show you the camera footage that says so.
